Run, Run Forrest, Run

Daily writing prompt
How often do you walk or run?

Contrary to what you may believe I used to love running and walking. I would walk for miles to get to work, so stupidly long distances just because I enjoyed walking along the coast where I used to live. The running was good. Me and my brother, Day, and around a mountainous suburb with lots of ups and downs. His friend attempted the same running feat but wouldn’t stop throwing up.

I used to love running on treadmills but I was always paranoid about the noise it would make while running. At this point in my life. Mid 20’s, the gyms I was a member of were quite small. That said I would skip running sometimes because it was burning muscle when the fat left. I was trying to bulk up and cardio was there just slightly to get my heart going.

I would go to the gym almost 2 or 3 times a day, then throw in some late-night swimming when I had the whole pool to myself. They were fun times.

Not crappy poem #9

Depression, black dog, go back to hell
From whence you came, I’m not your kin
I’ve fought you off before, and I will again
I’m stronger than you, you’re just a stain

I’m not going to let you win this time
I’m going to fight back with all my might
I’m going to take back my life, it’s mine
I decide my own destiny, not you

So go away, depression, and never return
I’m done with you, I’m moving on
I’m going to live my life to the fullest
And nothing is going to stop me, not even you.

Fuck the beast, that is you, to hell you go.

Short Story: About a book

I’ve always been inspired by the story of Frodo Baggins, the hobbit who sets out on a quest to destroy the One Ring. Frodo is a small and unassuming hobbit, but he has a great heart and a strong sense of duty. He is willing to sacrifice everything to save Middle-earth, even though he knows that the task is impossible.

Frodo’s journey is long and difficult, and he faces many challenges along the way. But he never gives up, even when things seem hopeless. He is helped by his friends, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, as well as by Gandalf the wizard and Aragorn, the rightful heir to the throne of Gondor.

In the end, Frodo is successful in destroying the One Ring, but he pays a high price. He is wounded by the Ring, and he must leave Middle-earth to heal. But his sacrifice saves Middle-earth, and he is remembered as a hero.

Frodo’s story inspires me because it shows that even the smallest person can make a difference. He is a reminder that we all have the power to do great things, if we are willing to stand up for what we believe in.

Frodo’s story also humbles me. It reminds me that I am not alone in my struggles. Everyone faces challenges in life, but we can overcome them if we have courage, determination, and the help of our friends.

I am grateful for the inspiration that I have found in Lord of the Rings. It is a story that I will never forget.

Short Story: About skies

The sky was dark and stormy, the wind howled, and the rain poured down. But in the midst of all the chaos, a small plane was flying through the sky.

The plane was being piloted by a young woman named Sarah. She was on her way to visit her family, and she was determined to make it there no matter what.

The plane was tossed and turned by the wind, and the rain beat against the windows. But Sarah kept her cool and focused on her flying.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the plane broke through the clouds and landed safely at the airport. Sarah had made it!

She stepped out of the plane and took a deep breath of fresh air. She was exhausted, but she was also relieved and happy. She had made it through the storm, and she was finally home.

Short Story: About Friendship

The old man sat on the bench, watching the children play. He smiled as he remembered a time when he was young and carefree, just like them.

He thought about all the good times he had had in his life, and all the people he had loved. He knew that he had been lucky, and he was grateful for all the blessings he had received.

As he watched the children play, he thought about the future. He knew that there would be challenges ahead, but he also knew that he would face them with courage and determination. He was ready for whatever life threw his way.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He could smell the fresh air and hear the sound of children laughing. He felt happy and content. He knew that life was good.

Mindset

So for the second time today, I was so tired that I fell asleep in my chair. Gaming chair. Whatever you want call it. It was around 11.30am, and I started this post, I blinked and fell asleep. I wanted to stay up as I need to get a few more posts scheduled on [Busy Bee Tech] but anyway, matters not as I’m awake now.

Over the past week, occupational health has been adding all sorts of things into the house to make getting around easier. They’ve also gotten in touch with the letting agency to ask permission to install a new rail going upstairs as well as a few grab bars in a few places. I now have three walking sticks. Two to move around downstairs and the garden and one for upstairs as I can’t carry one up with me. I have a bath slide thing to help me get into the shower and a couple of other things. They will be coming back every couple of days to start exercising regime to get me back in strength.

Problem. Yes, there is always a problem that comes up. My hip is killing me. Whenever I try and stand up it takes all my strength just to stand up. Literally every muscle in my body is needed. I’ve fallen onto my knees a couple of times but no one saw me, and I’ve had the worst headaches recently. I haven’t banged my head or anything. I’m having issues getting to the bathroom on time which is really embarrassing. I’ve managed to hide most of this from D and the therapists as I don’t know how to tell them that. I also need an oxygen machine as I can’t control my breathing properly. I’ll ask them about this on Monday. In the meantime, a machine, which D kindly bought, will be arriving tomorrow which should help.

I’ll get there, just give me time.
