A healthy dose of EGO

What are 3 traits I love about yourself? describe them in detail.

That’s like the biggest ego massage of a question, what happens if you don’t love yourself, have no redeeming qualities and generally suck? … self-esteem issues, me? No. Of course not.

Kindness
I will find all ways of pleasing someone in as much capacity as possible. Whether it’s giving something back to the homeless or picking up sweets randomly for the kids. Apparently, I do this to a fault. People become accustomed to this treatment and I end up not enjoying it any more which sucks. But before that, it makes me insanely happy to see someone else being happy because of my small gesture. Skin-tingly nice feelings.

Loyalty
From keeping a secret about a boy you like or that suspicious new flower bed in the garden. You can count on me to keep you loyal. I don’t think I have ever jumped ship on anyone and pretty much all my friends will have me fighting in their corners Hell I spent three years of uni looking after my drunken breather and got them home safe each night. Do you want to take on an army? O’ll be stood side by side with you facing impossible odds. Whatever it takes.

Is It bad that I can only think of two traits? The rest in my mind are terrible when I think about them. Negative traits I could talk about in another post.

QOTD – Strikes BACK!

Daily writing prompt
What brings a tear of joy to your eye?

I am well emotional. Especially when it has something to do with the following:

  • Family – especially the kids when they smile, laugh, have an engaging conversation.
  • Mile stones – Borthdays, Christmases and special events where we hug each other and are generally having a moment.
  • Church – The unity of people brings a tear to my eye when they talk about jesus and have fierce retoric. I’m not religious I just got when the ex-wife was making me.
  • Speeches – Terrible for that but oddly enough I can carry out speeches at funerals with no real issues.
  • Bag pipes – Not because of the pain caused to my ear drum but being half scottish means I have a special place in my heart for them.

Someone might think I have emotional personality disorder..

Short Story: about passion

I’ve been dancing since I was a little boy. I remember the first time I saw a tango couple perform, I was mesmerized. The way they moved together was so passionate and intense, and I knew that I had to learn how to do it.

I started taking tango lessons, and I quickly fell in love with the art form. I loved the way it made me feel. When I was tangoing, I felt like I was in a different world. I felt alive and connected to my partner.

As I got older, I started exploring other forms of dance, like waltz, foxtrot, and swing. But tango always remained my favorite. There’s just something about the way it combines passion, intensity, and sensuality that I find incredibly appealing.

Tango has become a passion for me. It’s more than just a hobby or a form of exercise. It’s a way of life. It’s my way of connecting with my body, my partner, and the world around me.

I’m so grateful that I found tango. It’s given me so much joy and fulfillment. It’s made me a stronger person, both physically and mentally. And it’s helped me to find my voice.

I know that there are some people who think that tango is only for couples. But I want to tell those people that they’re wrong. Tango is for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re male or female, young or old, tall or short. If you have a passion for tango, then you should go for it.

Short Story: About loss

I still remember the day my grandmother died. I was 12 years old, and I was at school when I got the news. I felt like my whole world had been turned upside down.

My grandmother was the most important person in my life. She was always there for me, no matter what. She was my best friend, my confidante, and my biggest supporter.

I couldn’t imagine my life without her. I felt so lost and alone.

The days and weeks that followed were a blur. I went through the motions, but I wasn’t really there. I was just numb.

I didn’t want to talk to anyone about how I was feeling. I didn’t want to cry. I just wanted to pretend that everything was okay.

But it wasn’t okay. I was grieving, and I needed to allow myself to feel my emotions.

So I started to talk to my friends and family about my grandmother. I cried a lot, but it helped me to start to heal.

It’s been a few years since my grandmother died, and I still miss her every day. But I’m learning to live with my grief. I’m learning to find joy in the simple things in life.

I know that my grandmother would want me to be happy. And that’s what I’m trying to do.

Short Story: About happiness

The sun was shining brightly as I walked down the street, feeling happier than I had in a long time. I had just gotten a promotion at work, and I was finally going to be able to afford my dream car. I was so excited that I could barely contain myself.

I decided to go for a walk to clear my head and celebrate. As I walked, I thought about all the things that were making me happy. I had a great job, a loving family, and a few close friends. I was healthy and had everything I needed.

I stopped to sit on a bench and take in the view. The park was full of people enjoying the beautiful day. There were couples walking hand-in-hand, children playing on the swings, and dogs running around. I smiled as I watched them all.

I realized that happiness is all around us. It’s in the simple things, like a sunny day or a warm hug. It’s in the people we love and the things we’re passionate about. It’s in the moments that make us feel alive.

I took a deep breath and savored the feeling of happiness. I knew that this was just one of many highs that I would experience in my life. And I couldn’t wait to see what the future held.
